Is Love & Happiness Band the right size for my event?
Yes! We typically ask for a 16'x24' performance space but we can fit on a 12’x16’ stage or in unusual spaces as necessary. We can make just about anything work!
Our state-of-the-art sound system also allows us to control our volume. Our in-ear monitor system eliminates the need for loud floor monitors, which helps us maintain the right volume and take up less space. Love & Happiness Band has performed for audiences from 50 to 5,000 so we can work together to find the right sound and space for your special event.
What type of music do you play?
We are a dynamic, high-energy 7-9 piece variety band. We cover everything from jazz to R&B classics, to hip-hop to modern Top 40 hits. They recognize the subtleties between weddings and corporate events and work with each client to curate the playlist of their dreams.
I'd like to help build the playlist - is that doable?
We have all of our clients pick their top 10 favorites (and bottom 10 least favorites) from our song list. This gives us a good idea of your preferences, allowing us to customize each set list based on your unique tastes. The 10 and 10 formula lets us build a playlist around your favorites, while still giving us the freedom to do what we do best - pack the dance floor!
Do you provide your own sound and lighting?
Yes. We provide our own sound production, engineer, and stage lighting, and it’s already included in our base fee.
Do you provide your own stage?
No, but we do not require a stage to perform. Having a stage is always preferred but optional.
What happens when you take a break?
All packages include a live DJ for your breaks. Our DJ has access to endless playlists with the ability to take requests onsite, read the room, and adapt to the crowd's energy and style. The party won't stop!
Do you carry event liability insurance?
Yes, as more and more venues are requiring liability insurance, we carry our own liability insurance at no cost to you.
Can someone emcee or make announcements?
Of course! Emcee services are rolled into every package. We love making all of your special moments even more special. Our emcee will help transition and highlight each moment of the night seamlessly.
Do you travel for gigs?
Yes, we travel nationally on a regular basis.
Enough with the questions! How do I book?
Once you have notified us that you are ready to book Love & Happiness Band, we will place a firm hold on your date. We will have you execute the proposal so we can send you a questionnaire that will provide us with all the information we need to draft a contract. Once you have reviewed the contract and any necessary adjustments have been finalized, you will be able to electronically sign the contract and mail in the 50% deposit. You will be sent a fully executed contract upon receipt. The remaining balance is owed the week before the event.
Do you have any tech specs (a rider) specifying band needs?

Do you offer ceremony sound and/or musicians?
Yes and yes. We offer a variety of music configurations from a solo pianist to string sections to small ensembles and more. We also offer a wide range of ceremony sound system options ranging from simply providing audio support for the officiant to providing a comprehensive PA for bands, vocalists, vows, etc. Standard pricing and options are included in the proposal or custom quotes can be provided by request.
What is the "Second Line" send-off?
If you are interested in adding some spice to your send off, Love & Happiness Band offers the "Second Line". Made popular in Louisiana, the horn section and drummer lead the bride and groom away from the reception to their getaway vehicle with a traditional New Orleans style blues march.
Is there a smaller version of the band?
Love & Happiness Band always performs as a 6-9 piece band.. Please contact us and we will provide you with our best options.
